The Awe of Praise!

You are my Rock, You are my Rock, You are my Fortress,

You are my Light, You are my Light, You are my salvation.

The Wonder and Awe of our Lord God Almighty never fails to move my heart and soul to Rejoice in You.  “Who is like you, O Lord, among the gods? Who is like you, majestic in holiness, awesome in glorious deeds, doing wonders?  You stretched out your right hand; the earth swallowed them. “You have led in your steadfast love the people whom you have redeemed; you have guided them by your strength to your holy abode.”  Exodus 15:11-13.  This is the song of Moses and the people of Israel sang to the Lord God.

When King Nebuchadnezzar asked if it is true, that Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego would not worship; his statue?  Nebuchadnezzar asked, “But if you do not worship, you shall immediately be cast into a burning fiery furnace. And who is the god who will deliver you out of my hands?”

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego answered and said to the king, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter.  If this be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us out of your hand, O king.” Daniel 3:16-18.  When they were released, the hair of their heads were not singed, and no smell of fire came from them.  Many more people were healed, protected, and found refuge in our Lord God.

For the word of the Lord is upright, and all His work is done in faithfulness. He loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of the steadfast love of the Lord.  By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, and by the breath of His mouth all their host.  He gathers the waters of the sea as a heap; He puts the deeps in storehouses. Psalm 33:4-7.

I hide in the shelter, In the shelter of your Presence.

You keep me safe from the enemyBecause of your love for me.

Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God, who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love Him and keep His commandments to a thousand generations. Deuteronomy 7:9. In the cover of your presence you hide them from the plots of men; you store them in from the strife of tongues.  Blessed be the Lord, for He has wondrously shown His steadfast love to me when I was in a besieged city. Psalm 31:20-21.

How great is your Goodness.  And the mighty works of your hand.

When Your final trumpet sounds In You, I will ever stand.

But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared,  he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit,  whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life. Titus 3:4-7.

Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father, who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace, comfort your hearts and establish them in every good work and word.  2 Thessalonians 2:16-17.

When we find awe in our Creator God, will we find the avenue of hope to praising Him.  Until we know without a doubt that God provides reason to trust Him will we find the will to follow Him.  It is when we believe in Jesus, God’s Only Son, we will be called the Children of God.

He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of His nature, and He upholds the universe by the word of His power. After making purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high. Hebrews 1:3.  No one loves like our Father God and Jesus Christ, our Savior, and the Holy Spirit, our Comforter.

From the moment the shepherds heard the Angel say, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.  For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.  And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.”  And the Heavenly Host praised God!  “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!” Luke 2:10-12, 14. Things changed.

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.  For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through Him.” John 3:16-17.  The purpose for Praise is clear.  God is Love.  God is Good.  God is Faithful. We stand in awe of Him.

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.  1 John 4:7.

I delight in the Lord, I sing praises to the Mighty King

I sing with joy and thankfulness, Until all heaven rings.

In awe of your Glory, Faithfulness, Love, and Grace and praise You, O, God. Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness.  Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.  Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him, and He will act. Psalm 37:3-5.

I’m trusting You, I’m trusting You, You are my God!
