September 7, 2018 – Psalm 7:9-10

End the evil of those who are wicked and defend the righteous. For you look deep within the mind and heart, O righteous God. Psalm 7:9-10.

Our righteous God discerns the darkness from light. John 1:4-5 – The Word gave life to everything that was created,
and his life brought light to everyone. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.  Evil brings shadows of darkness into our lives and takes away our hope and peace which can only exist in the Light of our Lord.

Philippians 4:6-7 – Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

If complaints rather than thanksgiving fill our hearts, or impatience rather than patience, or evil rather than kindness, we walk in darkness.  Philippians 4:8 – And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.

Psalm 8:1 – Lord, our Lord, your majestic name fills the earth! Your glory is higher than the heavens.  I see your wonders over all the earth and in the eyes of those whose hearts are true and right with you!  I praise you and thank you.

This is my prayer to you, Oh, Lord:  May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to you, Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer. Psalm 19:14.

God is my shield, saving those whose hearts are true and right. I will thank the Lord because he is just; I will sing praise to the name of the Lord Most High. Psalm 7:17
