September 4, 2018 – I John 3:22

And we will receive from Him whatever we ask because we obey Him and do the things that please him. I John 3:22.

With my eyes wide open, and my heart receiving, I see the blessings of His Hand each moment of the day.  When I open the front door of my world, seeming so tiny. Yet, I know how Great Thou Art.  You answer the many prayers of those who heed the ‘because’ of obedience, pleasing You across this earth You created! 

Thank you, Elohim, for the commandment to believe and to love others. Turn my mind constantly to the joy of fellowship with God’s Son, Jesus.  For we know the gift of the Spirit He gives us – lives within us.

Help me to rejoice, give thanks, and know the calmness this day of your gracious words. Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice!  Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do. Remember, the Lord is coming soon. Philippians 4:4-5. 

Our Lord Jesus who calms the waves and the wind can still the storms that arise in our hearts. The disciples went and woke him up, shouting, “Master, Master, we’re going to drown!” When Jesus woke up, he rebuked the wind and the raging waves. Suddenly the storm stopped and all was calm. Then he asked them, “Where is your faith?” The disciples were terrified and amazed. “Who is this man?” they asked each other. “When He gives a command, even the wind and waves obey Him!”Luke 8:24-25.

And this is His commandment: We must believe in the name of His Son, Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as He commanded us. Those who obey God’s commandments remain in fellowship with Him, and He with them. And we know He lives in us because the Spirit He gave us, lives in us. I John 3:23-24.
