September 27, 2021 – Ephesians 4:20-24
But that is not the way you learned Christ!— assuming that you have heard about Him and were taught in Him, as the truth is in Jesus, to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness. Ephesians 4:20-24.
Who is Jesus to you? I think of Jesus, the Son of God, as a New Song, new every morning. At first I knew is Jesus Loves Me This I Know. Then I knew we pray to God the Father, and end each prayer with In the Name of Jesus!
My old self would want my wishes foremost. I learned that Where He leads Me, I will Follow, becomes my song. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, He is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. 2 Corinthians 5:17.
All because Up from the grave He arose, with a mighty triumph o’er his foes. When I live for Him, He makes me a fisher of men when I follow Him.
Dear Lord God, I pray that I learn to love and forgive like Jesus. Lead me day by day in your way. Teach me to be a new creature, being kind to others. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
What a Friend we have in Jesus All our sins and griefs to bear! What a privilege to carry Everything to God in prayer.
He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God? Micah 6:8.
Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you. Ephesians 4:32.
