September 26, 2018 – I Corinthians 15:51-52
But let me reveal to you a wonderful secret. We will not all die, but we will all be transformed! It will happen in a moment, in the blink of an eye, when the last trumpet is blown. For when the trumpet sounds, those who have died will be raised to live forever. And we who are living will also be transformed. I Corinthians 15:51-52.
Our earthly bodies come first, and then our spiritual bodies come through Christ. Our earthly bodies are prone to aches and pains. Our eyes dim and we were not born on earth, to live here eternally.
The most beautiful music we will ever hear is the last trumpet sound, for it will call us to the transformation of our earthly bodies to our immortal bodies that will never die.
What comes first is the natural body, then the spiritual body comes later. Adam, the first man, was made from the dust of the earth, while Christ, the second man, came from heaven. I Corinthians 15:46-47.
Because Jesus came, gave His Life, and He rose again from the grave. Even as we will rise to walk again in our heavenly bodies and live with Him. Jesus conquered death for us. He shows us the way.
Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me. If you had really known me, you would know who my Father is. From now on, you do know him and have seen him!” John 14:6-7.
So rejoice in the Lord and be glad, all you who obey him! Shout for joy, all you whose hearts are pure! Psalm 32:11
For our dying bodies must be transformed into bodies that will never die; our mortal bodies must be transformed into immortal bodies. Then, when our dying bodies have been transformed into bodies that will never die, this Scripture will be fulfilled: “Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?” I Corinthians 15:53-55.
