For the Lord will not forsake his people;
He will not abandon his heritage; for justice will return to the righteous, and all the upright in heart will follow it. Psalm 94:14-15.
God promises a special possession that we inherit. The rainbow is a sign of His Promise not to destroy us with another flood. The rainbow is God’s signature in the sky.
But the meek shall inherit the land and delight themselves in abundant peace. Psalm 37:11. God promises not only land but peace as the inheritance for those who follow His Word.
Another word for meek is gentleness. Blessed are the meek and gentle—they will inherit the earth. Matthew 5:11. (The Voice). God’s own Son, Jesus, promises us peace. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. John 14:27. (ESV).
How long will the steadfast love of our Lord last? For the Lord is good; His steadfast love endures forever, and His faithfulness to all generations. Psalm 100:5. He holds us up as we travel through the troubles. He gives us Hope and builds our Faith as we constantly trust Him.
For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His steadfast love toward those who fear Him; as far as the east is from the west, so far does He remove our transgressions from us. Psalm 103:11-12.
When I thought, “My foot slips,” Your steadfast love, O Lord, held me up. When the cares of my heart are many, your consolations cheer my soul. Psalm 94:18-19.
