September 24, 2018 – Psalm 121:1-4
I look up to the mountains—does my help come from there? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth! He will not let you stumble; the One who watches over you will not slumber. Indeed, He who watches over Israel never slumbers or sleeps. Psalm 121:1-4.
Your vast creation surrounds me as a remembrance of your help for my being each day. From my first breath to my last breath, You watch over me.
In You, all my tomorrows are in Your hands. Sleep cannot steal you away from me. Neither can the sun or the moon harm me. You created the smallest pebble and the vast mountain ranges. You created all things.
You, O Lord, bring refreshment, from the heat of the sun. You hold me in place and won’t let me fall. Your Spirit surrounds me, Your Son Jesus came and brings me peace. “My peace is the legacy I leave to you. I don’t give gifts like those of this world. Do not let your heart be troubled or fearful.”
When I discovered your words, I devoured them. They are my joy and my heart’s delight,
for I bear your name, O Lord God of Heaven’s Armies. Jeremiah 15:16.
The Lord keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever. Psalm 121:8. Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever. Psalm 23:6.
No wonder my heart is glad, and my tongue shouts his praises! My body rests in hope. Acts 2:26
