September 23, 2020 – 2 Corinthians 5:16-17

From now on, therefore, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we once regarded Christ according to the flesh, we regard Him thus no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. 2 Corinthians 5:16-17.

When we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord, our lives change. In Christ, we have forgiveness, and we extend forgiveness to our brothers and sisters in Christ. Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. Colossians 3:12-13.

Part of loving one another as Jesus loves us, is living with patience and kindness as God’s Child.  Then we become ambassadors for the Love of Jesus.  Why is His Love so important?  His Love is eternal and forever.  Jesus is our Lord and no one else can forgive our sins.

We search for ways to renew our bodies as we grow older. We put on a new wardrobe and new potions, but only when we compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, patience, and forgive one another, are we fully dressed for eternity with His love.  Love never goes out of style or wears out.

Whoever keeps His commandments abides in God, and God in Him.  And by this we know that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us. I John 3:23.

Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making His appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. For our sake He made Him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God. 2 Corinthians 5:20-21.
