September 22, 2020 – Ephesians 1:4-6

Even as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before Him. In love, He predestined us for adoption to Himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of His will, to the praise of His glorious grace, with which He has blessed us in the Beloved. Ephesians 1:4-6.

Why did God choose us? To become His Sons.  How can this be? He loves us and His desire is that we are holy and blameless.   His purpose is that we are to be adopted as His sons through Jesus. His plan is our redemption through the spilled blood of Jesus on the cross.

Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me. Oh, His mysterious will that in the fullness of time, God sent His Son Jesus to provide a Way for us to be redeemed.

Dear Lord God of the Heavens, You chose me, You created me, You give me life. Fill my heart with Your Love, and make it wholly Yours. Give me the strength to choose You above all else in this world that become a Child of God always.  I pray in the Name of your Son, Jesus, Amen.

But You, O Lord, are a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter of my head. I cried aloud to the Lord,
and He answered me from His holy hill. Psalm 3:3-4. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens! Let your glory be over all the earth! Psalm 57:5.

In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace, which He lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight making known to us the mystery of His will, according to His purpose, which He set forth in Christ as a plan for the fullness of time.
