You have a mighty arm; strong is your hand, high your right hand. Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne; steadfast love and faithfulness go before You. Psalm 89:13-14.
This chapter begins with these two verses, I will sing of the steadfast love of the Lord, forever; with my mouth I will make known your faithfulness to all generations. For I said, “Steadfast love will be built up forever; in the heavens You will establish Your faithfulness.”
Our Lord God provides all we need to have a joyful life following Him. The proliferation of technology fills our eyes and ears with words and pictures that draw us away from our Lord. As I read, below, Blessed are the people who walk in the Light of Your Face, and exult in your name all day...creates a challenge. A challenge of creating a new walk in Him.
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:2.
Jesus taught, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. Matthew 22:37-39. We love our God with all our mind, and loving Him cannot be multi-tasked.
Blessed are the people who know the festal shout, who walk, O Lord, in the light of your face, who exult in your name all the day and in your righteousness are exalted. For You are the glory of their strength; by Your favor our horn is exalted. For our shield belongs to the Lord, our king to the Holy One of Israel. Psalm 89:15-18.
