September 20, 2018 – Galatians 6:2-4

Share each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ. If you think you are too important to help someone, you are only fooling yourself. You are not that important. Pay careful attention to your own work, for then you will get the satisfaction of a job well done, and you won’t need to compare yourself to anyone else. For we are each responsible for our own conduct. Galatians 6:2-4.

Helping others means we see and hear with our hearts, when we place our heart in the hands of Jesus each day.  Placing ourselves as more important than others gives room for pride and selfishness. Comparing ourselves and what we have with others leads to living a discontented life.

Yet true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth. I Timothy 6:6.  We cannot blame the decisions we make on others, when we are responsible for them.  When you plant a corn seed, don’t expect to see a coconut tree growing there.  The greatest harvest we will ever know comes from living to please the Holy Spirit.  Never tire of doing good.

Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.  I Corinthians 13:7.

Always give thanks to God!  Not because of how we feel, but because of Who He is!

Don’t be misled—you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant. Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit. So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. Galatians 6:7-9.
