Psalm-25-4Show me your ways, Lord,
teach me your paths.
Guide me in your truth and teach me,
for you are God my Savior,
and my hope is in you all day long. Psalm 25:4-5Show, teach guide – all active verbs.  And why should I learn and be taught?  Because you are God my Savior.  If You did not exist, there would be no hope.  No hope at all.In the midst of the three, or is it five, dimensional mazes of life with seemingly no end, I am lost.  The physical things in this life that sustain me are not there.  How does ‘the good life’ begin?  You are showing me.  I choose your path, among the many I see.  It is sometimes a difficult task to find your path with certainty.Then, when I am on your path, I can see the truth and you teach me.  Difficult lessons come with tears and sorrow and broken hearts.  But still I learn.  Why is it so hard to trust and follow you?The answers come in the following verses — 8 – 11 of the same Psalm.  He guides the humble in what is right.  In humility I fall on my knees, for I am often unwilling to be taught.  But you, Oh, Lord are loving and faithful.  And the prayer of David’s is mine as well, For the sake of your name, Lord, forgive my iniquity, though it is great!  And then I pray today and each day – May integrity and honesty protect me, for I put my hope in you.No one else, nothing else can give me peace and hope and joy.  Fill me, dear Lord!Good and upright is the Lord;
therefore he instructs sinners in his ways.
He guides the humble in what is right
and teaches them his way.
All the ways of the Lord are loving and faithful
toward those who keep the demands of his covenant.
For the sake of your name, Lord,
forgive my iniquity, though it is great. Psalm 25:8-11
