Sing for joy, O heavens! Rejoice, O earth! Burst into song, O mountains! For the Lord has comforted his people and will have compassion on them in their suffering. Isaiah 49:13My dear daughter came home from Albuqurque telling me about her love for mountains.  I couldn’t quite understand.  Yet, the longer I live, the more I see that a mountain is hint of the majesty of our Lord Jehovah.  Moving a mountain is beyond our capability unless we have faith.  A mountain cannot be measured or weighed.  Its immensity has held freedom for those who try to escape terrors in the valley.Sometimes our troubles are like mountains – can’t go over them or through them.  The only one who can is our Father in Heaven.  When a young man tells his beautiful girl that he loves her, how faithful is that love?  When our Lord says ‘My covenant of blessing will never be broken and my love for you will remain, even if the mountains move or the hills disappear”, then we are in awe.Who could love us so much?  Who could care for us with a mountain-moving’s worth?  Is this comforting, or not?  That much love requires a response, not indifference.  God’s love is forever, yet men try to sidestep, ignore and deny His Love.Some will say a word, pass a law or order to do away with God.  Such action is futile, for God IS.  He that spoke the universe into existence, created all life; He will always be.  He will always be the fount of all love.  He has mercy on us as long as we have breath.  Let us take a deep breath, soul-deep and praise our Father in Heaven.  A mountain of praise.For the mountains may move and the hills disappear, but even then my faithful love for you will remain. My covenant of blessing will never be broken,” says the Lord, who has mercy on you. Isaiah 54:10
