September 1, 2020 – Psalm 62:1-2

For God alone my soul waits in silence; from Him comes my salvation. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be greatly shaken. Psalm 62:1-2.

Have you ever waited for something?  And it seems as if you have to wait forever?  God’s forever is longer than our lifetime.  One Fruit of the Spirit is Patience.  This only comes from the Holy Spirit!  It takes time for cookies to bake; it takes time to learn how to ride a bike; it takes time to grow up.

But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.   2 Peter 3:8.  Only from God comes our salvation.   Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices! Psalm 37:7.

Oh, Lord, My Redeemer, teach me to be patient!  Each day, may my heart rest in You. For your salvation is a sure safe place for me. You have power and might in all things in this world and the world to come.  In You I trust. In Jesus’ Name, I pray continually.

We have thought on your steadfast love, O God, in the midst of your temple. As your name, O God, so your praise reaches to the ends of the earth. Your right hand is filled with righteousness. Psalm 48:9-10.

I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living! Wait for the Lordbe strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!  Psalm 27:13-14.

On God rests my salvation and my glory; my mighty rock, my refuge is God. Trust in Him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Psalm 62:7-8.
