Reflections on “Our Rock-Hope-Salvation!” March 19, 2024
For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from Him. He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be shaken. On God rests my salvation and my glory; my mighty rock, my refuge is God. Trust in Him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Psalm 62:5-8.
Who is God? The only way of knowing is to read His Word every day! This is His Story, that creates Hope in our hearts to look forward to each day with anticipation. Without Him, each tomorrow weighs our hearts down. Reading His Word daily strengthens our faith in Him, helping each one know Salvation is for us!
For this reason, I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of His glory He may grant you to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3:14-19.
The Lord is a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. And those who know Your Name put their trust in You, for You, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You. Psalm 9:9-10.
What is God’s strongest attribute? Love! From the beginning, God Loves! Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in Him, and He in God. So, we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. I John 4:15-16.
So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female, He created them. Genesis 1:27.
Jesus, the Son of God, left us a helper. “If you love me, you will keep my commandments. And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. You know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.” John 14:15-17.
What is Salvation and why do we need it? When we desire to satisfy our will rather than God’s will, we are being disobedient and not pleasing God. His Word teaches us what pleases God. We read not once a week, but daily for Peace, Strength, and Daily Hope with a growing Faith.
Though you have not seen Him, you love Him. Though you do not now see Him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls. I Peter 1:8-9.
Why did Jesus come to earth? Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and I am here. I came not of my own accord, but He sent me. Why do you not understand what I say? It is because you cannot bear to hear my word. John 8:42-43.
The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him. It is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord. Lamentation 3:25-26.
For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession who are zealous for good works. Titus 2:11-14.
Have you tried to break a rock lately? Notice how impregnable it is! I love you, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer,
my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies. Psalm 18:1-3.
Choosing The Father God and His only Son Jesus, who sent The Holy Spirit to teach us truth, that He is our portion.
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases. His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in Him.” Lamentations 3:22-24.
What is your thought first thing when waking up? The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him. It is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord. Lamentations 3:25-26.
Did you know that trusting our Lord God, and enduring, will strengthen our ability to communicate with our Father God, and this brings us Peace, a part of knowing Hope in God?
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. Philippians 4:6-8.
Salvation is knowing that you walk with God with the Hope of Eternal Life. A favorite verse is this: The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save He will rejoice over you with gladness; He will quiet you by His love;
He will exult over you with loud singing. Zephaniah 3:17.
