Reflection on “The Heavens Tell of His Glory! June 18,2024

The heavens are telling of the glory of God; And their expanse is declaring the work of His hands. Day to day pours forth speech, And night to night reveals knowledge. There is no speech, nor are there words; Their voice is not heard. Their line has gone out through all the earth, And their utterances to the end of the world. Psalm 19:1-4.

But now ask the beasts and let them teach you; And the birds of the heavens, and let them tell you. “Or speak to the earth, and let it teach you, And let the fish of the sea declare to you.“ Who among all these does not know That the hand of the Lord has done this, In whose hand is the life of every living thing, And the breath of all mankind? Job 12:7-10.

What is reality, but the One who created Life in the world He created? And we praise Him and give Him glory. Praise the Lord! Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; For His lovingkindness is everlasting. Who can speak of the mighty deeds of the Lord, or can show forth all His praise? How blessed are those who keep justice, who practice righteousness at all times! Psalm 106:1-3.

What do sheep do? They follow their shepherd, who protects them and leads them to pasture. And we have a Shepherd, do you know His Name and do you know His Voice? So, we Your people and the sheep of Your pasture will give thanks to You forever; To all generations, we will tell of Your praise. So, we Your people and the sheep of Your pasture will give thanks to You forever; To all generations, we will tell of Your praise. Psalm 79:13.

When I was a young girl, I jumped every time I heard thunder. Now when I hear thunder, I know it is my Lord God. He is my refuge and the rock of my salvation.

Ascribe to the Lord, O sons of the mighty, Ascribe to the Lord’s glory and strength. Ascribe to the Lord the glory due to His name; Worship the Lord in holy array. The voice of the Lord is upon the waters; The God of glory thunders. The Lord is over many waters. Psalm 29:1-3.

On God, my salvation and my glory rest; The rock of my strength, my refuge, is in God. Trust in Him at all times, O people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Psalm 62:7-8.

I have set the Lord continually before me; Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. Therefore, my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices. Psalm 16:8-9. Our soul waits for the Lord; He is our help and our shield, for our heart rejoices in Him, because we trust in His holy name. Let Your lovingkindness, O Lord, be upon us, According as we have hoped in You. Psalm 33:20-22.

What do I long for? Comfort and pleasure? Or having everything my own way? Does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. I Corinthians 13:6-7.

Is there a Law of the Lord? After reading Exodus, Leviticus, and Deuteronomy, in the Old Testament, I am thankful for Colossians 3:12-13. So, as those who have been chosen by God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience; bearing with one another, and forgiving each other. Whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you.

Many years ago. Mom introduced me to Psalm 37. Then I discovered the word, Delight! Delight yourself in the Lord; And He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, and He will do it. Psalm 37:4-5.

When I read this, some of I Am’s of Jesus. I knew He was the one to follow. Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me. If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; from now on you know Him, and have seen Him. John 14:6-7.

The Way, the Truth, and the Life. Follow the Truth and you will have Life for an Eternity. “Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to render to every man according to what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end. Revelations 22:12.

How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, Nor stand in the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers! But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law, he meditates day and night. Psalm 1:1-2.

Paul wrote, Therefore I, the prisoner of the Lord, implore you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing tolerance for one another in love, being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. Ephesians 4:1-3.
