October 30, 2020 – Romans 12:1-2

I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:1-2.

Giving our all to God, includes our desires, our thoughts, and our actions, all belong to the Lord.  We rely on God for every part of our lives.  Our every breath we take comes from God.

The more frantic our life becomes the less we are able to love. “Be still, and know that I am God.  I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”  Psalm 46:10.  Our mind leads the way.  What we hear and see affects the mind.  The world has many sounds and sights that entice the mind to follow.  Then we become like a leaf, destined to fall and be carried by every wind.

O, Lord, my God, may I delight in the law of the Lord, and meditate on it day and night. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. In Jesus’ Name I pray! Amen.

When we humble ourselves before the Lord and pray,  our faith begins to grow and we are transformed.  So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ. Romans 10:17.

Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised and His greatness is unsearchable. Psalm 145:3.

For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned. Romans 12:3.
