Romans8-38bAnd I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39In today’s world, who do we trust to really love us?  It seems everywhere we are, we are either offending or offended.  Love or be loved, doesn’t wait for an offensive remark or action.  God teaches us in this scripture that we cannot be separated from God’s Love.  How can that be?  What makes God’s Love different?  Or maybe the question is, How can He love me, a sinner, unclean? My Aunt Irene recently called my attention to this song she remembered….How big is God? How big and wide is his vast domain?  To try to tell these lips can only start;  He’s big enough to rule the mighty universe,  Yet small enough to live within my heart. (Hank Snow)Our Jehovah, who created us, loves us unconditionally.  So much so that He suffered the heartache when He gave us His one and only son, Jesus Christ, the Messiah, to die on the cross.  God pursues us, telling us over and over, “I love you, with a love you have ever known!”Not even the Evil One can separate us from God or anything in creation.  He not only holds our hand, He holds our heart during our journey on this earth and beyond the grave.  How can we do anything but adore, worship, love and obey our King?Dear Lord, just when things look the darkest and we feel we cannot go another step, bring these verses of the proclamation of love come into our hearts and mind.  May we look ever to You, who is love, to go on loving and sharing your love.  In Jesus’ Name, AmenWhat shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else? Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for his own? No one—for God himself has given us right standing with himself. Who then will condemn us? No one—for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and he is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us. Romans 8:31-34
