October 25, 2017 – Colossians 3:1-2
Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God’s right hand. Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth. Colossians 3:1-2.
What is our reality in life? Is it just survival? Barely getting by? Falling into bed, exhausted, wondering when you can get off the ‘worry-go-round’? Are you hanging on, feeling all alone?
In Jesus Christ, we have hope, and we have a way to live, giving us joy! We are hidden in Christ, living our real life of loving and serving and giving. Each day is an expectant time of joy, breathing in His Love. We wait on the Lord for what He teaches us each day to help our faith grow! Our reality moves from nothingness to the reality of Heaven. Our real life is hidden in Jesus Christ.
Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see. Through their faith, the people in days of old earned a good reputation. By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God’s command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen. Hebrews 11:1-3
When our Jesus is revealed to the whole world, every knee will bow, and we will share in his glory. We don’t have an itemized list of His glory, it is a gift to the faithful who believe He IS our life. We will share in His Glory. There will be Love, Joy, and Peace with no hurts, tears, or sadness. We can begin now to experience the Reality of Heaven, living for and in Christ Jesus.
For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God. And when Christ, who is your life, is revealed to the whole world, you will share in all his glory. Colossians 3:3-4.
