October 24, 2018 – Psalm 107:29-30
He made the storm be still, and the waves of the sea were hushed. Then they were glad that the waters were quiet, and He brought them to their desired haven. Psalm 107:29-30.
Storms come and go in our lives. Storms of all kinds disrupt our lives, sickness, separation, death, accidents, fires, or financial loss. Each one has troublesome winds that shake our well-being, and we ask, Why me?
Then I read James 1:2-4. Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.
A storm in life is a reminder that God loves us. He desires us to be His. Faith is a gift, Grace is a gift, Love is a gift from our Lord God. When I consider God’s great Love and Forgiveness, I am overwhelmed. How can He love me?
I am overcome by His Graciousness and Steadfast Love. Oh, how He loves us all. Our Lord Jesus came to this earth to take on the sins we commit. We praise Him as He leads us, step by step, through this life!
We gather with others and raise our voices to praise Him in adoration. There is no One like Him! He has no equal.
I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things you have done. I will be filled with joy because of you. I will sing praises to your name, O Most High. Psalm 9:1-2.
Let them thank the Lord for His steadfast love, for His wondrous works to the children of man! Let them extol Him in the congregation of the people and praise Him in the assembly of the elders. Psalm 107:31-32.
