October 19, 2018 – Psalm 40:1-2
I waited patiently for the Lord to help me, and he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along. Psalm 40:1-2.
The journey in this life seems so long. Storm clouds gather around me, and I fall into a pit of despair. My feet seem to be captured by the muck and mire, and I see no way out.
I wait, knowing our Father which art in Heaven, will hear my cry. He is the lifter of my head. But you, O Lord, are a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter of my head. I cried aloud to the Lord, and he answered me from his holy hill. Psalm 3:3-4. Our Lord God steadies me and sets my feet on solid ground.
I sing in praise to our God is for the many Gifts of Praise He gives me. I thank Him for Salvation and Grace. I thank Him for the Holy Spirit, dwelling within me. I thank Him for the gift of trusting Him and the Faith to believe in Jesus Christ. I praise our Lord God for His Wisdom, Righteousness, and His Constant Love and forgiveness.
Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord, O my soul! I will praise the Lord as long as I live;
I will sing praises to my God while I have my being. Psalm 146:1-2
He has given me a new song to sing a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see what he has done and be amazed. They will put their trust in the Lord. Oh, the joys of those who trust the Lord, who have no confidence in the proud or in those who worship idols. Psalm 40:3-4.
