October 18, 2021 – Psalm 1:1-3

Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers. Psalm 1:1-3.

Delight yourself in the Lordand He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lordtrust in Him, and He will act. Psalm 37:4-5.  Meditating on God’s Word brings us nuggets of truth bringing the light of understanding, day by day.  Just as a tree bears fruit in season, we bear the fruit of the spirit as we mature in Christ Jesus.

There are two ways of living – as sinners or as righteous followers of our Lord God.  We make a choice which we follow, the wicked or righteous.

Our Father in Heaven, help us to love one another with forgiveness. Help us to be patient, kind, gentle, and His Strength give us self-control.  I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.  Colossians 3:15. This is the day that the Lord has made;let us rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24. And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose.  Romans 8:28.

Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous; for the Lord knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish. Psalm 1:5-6.
