October 13, 2016 – Philippians 1:27
Above all, you must live as citizens of heaven, conducting yourselves in a manner worthy of the Good News about Christ. Then, whether I come and see you again or only hear about you, I will know that you are standing together with one spirit and one purpose, fighting together for the faith, which is the Good News. Philippians 1:27Which country do you choose to be citizens of? The place of your birth generally shows where your citizenship is for your physical life. Being ‘born again’, we choose where our citizenship is when we choose our spiritual inheritance or way of life. Our parents teach us how to behave and what rules to follow in our physical citizenship. The Holy Word inspired by God, teaches those reborn in the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit how to be citizens of the Family of God from the heart out. We become a new creature when we are baptized into Jesus Christ. Our attitudes, our concerns, our goals, our way of living are changed. This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! 2 Corinthians 5:17 Who is this Jesus? John 1:1 tells us clearly with an eye witness testimony. Jesus is the Word, the Word of Life. He existed from The Beginning when God began. In the beginning God created the Heavens and the Earth. Genesis 1:1 Always remember that Jesus Christ, a descendant of King David, was raised from the dead. This is the Good News I preach. 2 Timothy 2:8.We proclaim to you the one who existed from the beginning, whom we have heard and seen. We saw him with our own eyes and touched him with our own hands. He is the Word of life. I John 1:1
