…these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us. I Corinthians 2:10-12When I wonder ‘Why’ something happened, I remember that no one knows the mind of God, except the Spirit who is from God. Ours is not to wonder why, but to listen, to trust and to love God. He is more, He is enough, He is Love. That is all I need to know. The Whys, the Whens, the Wheres melt into nothingness when I trust God with my mind, my heart and my soul. God is a Giver, a Lover and my Savior. There is nothing more I need to know. He gives me life, He gives me daily bread, He gives me purpose. He gives us different gifts according to the grace given to each of us. Our gift may be prophesying, serving, teaching, encouraging, giving, leading or showing mercy. This will edify our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. This is our purpose, this is our journey, this is our ability that God has given. No one else can take our place, it isn’t a competition, it is our work given us here on earth by our Father in Heaven, through the Holy Spirit.Dear Lord God, Help me prepare my heart and mind to serve you each day by loving others. May I know my gift and serve with humility and grace. Fill me with your Spirit and give me strength and courage to truly be yours. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.
