November 30, 2020 – Ephesians 2:4-7

But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace, you have been saved— and raised us up with Him and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages He might show the immeasurable riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.  Ephesians 2:4-7.

It is through God’s Love and Mercy we are given the Gift of Salvation through His Son, Christ Jesus.  We become God’s new creation when we receive this Gift of Salvation. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. I Corinthians 5:17.

He raises us up in heavenly places. This becomes our hope and our joy, when hope seems gone, and our joy of living fades away.  As the wind of trials comes, and it will, how do we endure? There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.  We love because He first loved us.  I John 4:18-19.

O, Lord God, strengthen my faith, help me to fully trust in You.  Help me to love with a forgiving heart.  I praise You.  You are my King, my everything. Forgive me, O Lord, and hear my prayer.  In the name of Jesus, I pray, Amen.

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23.

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. Ephesians 2:8-9.
