But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for him to return as our Savior. Philippians 3:19.
We cannot be citizens of Heaven when we do not follow the commandments of Heaven, on earth. Jesus taught us to love one another and follow His commandments. What one quality helps us to follow Jesus?
Humility. Being submissive is opposed to being filled with self-importance. Fear of the Lord teaches wisdom; humility precedes honor. Proverbs 15:33. If you are wise and understand God’s ways, prove it by living an honorable life, doing good works with the humility that comes from wisdom. James 3:13.
The world honors boldness, pride, and assertiveness. Recognizing Jesus as our Savior, following Him in all He is and proclaims, makes us His Friend. So all of us who have had that veil removed, can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image. 2 Corinthians 3:18. You are my friends if you do what I command. John 15:14.
One day, Jesus is coming to change our mortal bodies into immortal just as his body is. When we attempt to control others, we try to usurp the power of Jesus. Only Jesus has such power.
Fashion dictates what should be worn for every event. In the same way, you who are younger must accept the authority of the elders. And all of you, dress yourselves in s as you relate to one another, for “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” I Peter 5:5
He will take our weak mortal bodies and change them into glorious bodies like his own, using the same power with which he will bring everything under his control. Philippians 3:20
