November 25, 2020 – Ephesians 4:1-3
I, therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. Ephesians 4:1-3.
I am captured by the great love of Jesus. He calls us to walk in his footsteps with humility, gentleness and patience, persuing the unity in the Holy Spirit has created. His Peace binds us together in God’s Oneness of Hope.
Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. Colossians 3:2. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Matthew 6:21. This verse is one my Mother had my little brother learn. He said it so many times, I learned it as well. Mother chose Psalm 121:1-3 for me.
I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth. He will not let your foot be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber.
O, Father God, Your glory shines through the ages. Over and over, You have been my help and my Treasure each day. Guide me and Lead me to be constantly renewed in You. Forgive me when I stumble. Help me be kind, and forgiving to others, even as you forgive me. I pray in the name of Jesus, my Lord and King, Amen.
Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Psalm 51:10.
Put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness. Ephesians 4:22-24.
