November 16, 2020 – Colossians 3:12-14
Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. Colossians 3:12-14.
We are set apart to live holy lives, even as our Creator is holy. What does holy living look like? It begins with faith in God and His Son. Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible. Hebrews 11:1, 3.
Thankfulness follows Peace that comes from Jesus Christ. We have nothing, unless it comes from God, through Jesus Christ. Each breath is through His Grace. Each heart beat comes from Him. His goodness gives us reason to sing His Praise. Holy living is a testimony to the Grace He gives and brings harmony to the melody of our life’s story.
Dear Lord, help me to see your gift of grace and rejoice in thankfulness for Your Faithful Wonder of Love. May everything I do in word and deed, be done In Jesus’ Name, I Pray, Amen.
May the glory of the Lord endure forever. Psalm 104:31a.
And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. Colossians 3:15-17.
