November 15, 2021 – I John 4: 7-9

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. In this, the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world so that we might live through Him. I John 4:7-9.

Without God, there would not be love. He is our reason to love and He teaches us how to love others each day. Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13. And this is what God’s Son, Jesus, did for us.  The last three words Jesus spoke on the cross before He gave up His spirit, “It is finished!”   Our gift of love from God had been given.

God’s great love propels us to love all He has created, including those from every tribe and nation.

O, our Lord and Redeemer, fill us with your love for others.  Grant us your peace and joy, coming only from you.  Help us to be filled with Your Mercy and Grace, so others may know we live in and for You.  I pray in the name of Jesus, Amen.

We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers, as is right, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of every one of you for one another is increasing. 2 Thessalonians 1:3.

In this is love, not that we have loved God but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and His love is perfected in us. I John 4:10-12.
