May 4, 2015 – Colossians 3:16

Colossians3-16“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.” Colossians 3:16Songs of praise to Christ Jesus were the first songs I heard. Music is the language of faith.  I often dream of the time when I will hear angels sing, wondering if their glorious vibrations are still in the air around us now.  Just as wild animals roar their praise, trees and flowers sing praise in color, we sing praise with our voices, our deeds, words and thoughts in holy living. When the vibrancy of ‘thank you’ is in the air, a melody of faith is our song.  As I read the first phrase of Romans 8:11, I am in awe at the wonder and mystery of the Holy Spirit living in me and in you.  The power and glory of the resurrection of Jesus lives in us, who proclaim Jesus as our Redeemer and Lord. This gift of the Spirit, the same Spirit who raised Jesus, propels praise and thankfulness from the depths of my heart.  Sing with me, Bless the Lord, Oh my soul and all that is with me Bless His holy name… (Psalm 103:1) http://www.godtube.com/watch/?v=WLPKDWNX)

“And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you” Romans 8:11
