May 2, 2018 – 2 Corinthians 4:15-16

All of this is for your benefit. And as God’s grace reaches more and more people, there will be great thanksgiving, and God will receive more and more glory. That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day. 2 Corinthians 4:15-16.

From the beginning of creation, God created for our glory.  This morning, I peered outside of the window, and what did I see?  I saw a flowering tree exclaiming God’s glory and wonder.  He made this morning just for me to praise Him and give Him my heart in everything I do and say today. Every rainbow, every bird’s song gives me reason to rejoice in Him.

Our God never gives up on us.   He provides reasons to be His, to see His power and experience reminders that we are His. We forget Him so easily.  Moment by moment He watches over us.

Present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Jesus gave His Life on the cross to prepare for us an indescribable glory for an eternity.  The most breath-taking scene on earth cannot compare what our Lord God has prepared for us.

So don’t be misled, my dear brothers and sisters.  Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow.  He chose to give birth to us by giving us his true Word. And we, out of all creation, became his prized possession. James 1:16-18.

No, O people, the Lord has told you what is good, and this is what He requires of you:
to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God. Micah 6:8

For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! 2 Corinthians 4:17
