May 14, 2020 – Isaiah 12:2

“Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for the Lord God is my strength and my song, and He has become my salvation.” Isaiah 12:2.

Is your cup of water half empty or half full?  Do you let troubles and sorrow discourage you. A man told me of a memory as a child, laying in bed at night.  His father came in and without a word, swatted the boy.  He told me his thinking, “Father must have gotten the wrong kid,” and went to sleep.

Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds,  for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. James 1:2-3.   The reassurance of God’s love comes through the constant testing in life and trusting in His love throughout life.

Trusting in God, and receive the living water from the wells of salvation brings us the assurance of the next step to take in faith, we praise God.  In joy, we give thanks to the Lord.

Sing praises to the Lord, for He has done gloriously; let this be made known in all the earth. Shout, and sing for joy, O inhabitant of Zion,
for great in your midst is the Holy One of Israel.” Isaiah 12:5-6.

Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound, That saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost, but now am found, Was blind but now I see.  This becomes our life’s victory song.

For You are great and do wondrous things; You alone are God.  Teach me Your way, O Lord, that I may walk in Your truth.  Psalm 86:10-11a.

With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation. And you will say in that day: “Give thanks to the Lord, call upon His name, make known his deeds among the peoples, proclaim that his name is exalted. Isaiah 12:3-4.
