March 7, 2018 – Psalm 25:9-10
He leads the humble in doing right, teaching them his way. The Lord leads with unfailing love and faithfulness all who keep his covenant and obey his demands. Psalm 25:9-10.
Lead the humble, teaching them with love and faithfulness. Humility is the first prerequisite to be led and taught. Rebelliousness and anger have no place in the classroom of life. David knew what God desired. The first verse of this Psalm tells us. O Lord, I give my life to you.
I trust in you, my God!
When my brother learned to tie his shoe laboriously, he sat in church at a very young age trying to make the strings come together. A kind lady saw his struggle and offered to help him. He drew himself up and proudly declared, “I can do it by myself!”
David said in verses 4 and 5, Show me the right path, O Lord; point out the road for me to follow. Lead me by your truth and teach me,
for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you.
Who are those who fear the Lord? He will show them the path they should choose. They will live in prosperity, and their children will inherit the land. The Lord is a friend to those who fear him. He teaches them his covenant. Psalm 25:12-14.
Who will you choose to follow this day? Self-pride brings disaster, fearing the Lord God will bring us protection and forgiveness, Who can guide us? God sent His Son, Jesus, King of Kings, and Lord of Lords, to lead us, protect us, and bring us safely home.
For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Romans 3:23.
For the honor of your name, O Lord, forgive my many, many sins. Psalm 25:11.
