March 30, 2021 – Ephesians 2:8-10
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:8-10.
We receive salvation through the Gift of God’s Grace. We cannot earn salvation through works, but through faith in Him.
But the Scripture imprisoned everything under sin, so that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe. Galatians 3:22. God has provided good works for us to do.
Are we alone? No. Jesus said, And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, to be with you forever. John 14:16.
O, Father, God, Help me to believe and trust in Your Holy Words. Guide me in your paths of righteousness. Cleanse me from every sin, I pray in the name of Jesus, Amen.
In trusting Jesus we find peace that passes understanding. For Jesus teaches us to love one another and forgive. “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:34-35.
But now in Christ Jesus, you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For He Himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility by abolishing the law of commandments expressed in ordinances, that He might create in himself one new man in place of the two, so making peace, and might reconcile us both to God in one body through the cross, thereby killing the hostility. Ephesians 2:13-16.
