March 30, 2015 – Philippians 4:19
And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19How we need…and want things… we can see in this world. Yet those things we cannot see are God’s riches through Jesus Christ. Repeat the names of the Fruit of the Spirit – slowly. Let the meaning of each soak into your heart. The more they marinate into your being the more you know Jesus.Name one person you know who exhibits one or more of these Fruit of the Spirit consistently. Is this person easier to be around than others? Why? Then the most difficult question, do I have any of these attributes? If not, how could I learn to have these traits Jesus has? There is no other way but to turn my heart and my eyes to Jesus. Follow the One who loves me more than any other ever could. It is all about the mind — Fix your thoughts — Think about things and Put into practice! “I can’t help it!” is not true. Exercise your mind by holding on to what is true, honorable, right, pure, lovely and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Do not entertain the any thoughts but these. And put into practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.Not the nagging feeling of guilt and wrong doing — but God’s peace. Walk through your day enjoying the Fruit of the Spirit….it is rich with the Joy of Jesus. And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you. Philippians 4:8-9
