March 26, 2018 – Psalm 96:11-12
Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; Let the sea roar, and all its fullness; Let the field be joyful, and all that is in it. Then all the trees of the woods will rejoice before the Lord. Psalm 96:11-12.
All the earth worships the Lord our God! And we hear the rolling thunder and see the jagged edges of lightning pierce the earth. The deafening sound of the sea and the power of the waves travel from sea to sea. The leaves of the tree wave in exultation of the Joy of Creator. Just as people waved fronds when Jesus made His triumphant entry.
All creation welcomes Jesus in a swelling sound, sending the message – Jesus is coming, Jesus is coming – to judge the earth with righteousness. He will judge the peoples with His truth. Truth comes only through Jesus. John 14:6 makes it plain who Jesus is… Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.
When we have Jesus, and understand his love, there is no fear of death. Jesus is comforting me two days after the death of my husband with this truth from the Scripture. So we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord. For we walk by faith, not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:6-7.
Living for Him, while we are alive on this earth, brings joy in the ‘morning’… of life and His new mercies are ours each day. Let us rejoice in His Glory!
For He is coming, for He is coming to judge the earth. He shall judge the world with righteousness, And the peoples with His truth. Psalm 96:13
