March 17, 2017 – Ecclesiastes 11:5
Just as you cannot understand the path of the wind or the mystery of a tiny baby growing in its mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the activity of God, who does all things. Ecclesiastes 11:5
The mighty mysteries of God cannot be explained by man. The unseen things set into Motion by God Himself are mysteries. David knew. He released the east wind in the heavens and guided the south wind by his mighty power. Psalm 78:26. He causes the clouds to rise over the whole earth. He sends the lightning with the rain and releases the wind from his storehouses. Psalm 135:7.
As for the mystery of the birth of new life…Psalm 139:13-14 – You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it.
How often we wish for the morning’s daybreak while going through a trial of any kind. We need light, we need the comfort of hope and light in our lives. Our automatic reflex when we walk into a dark room is flip the switch and flood the room with light.
Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.”
Trusting Jesus brings us into an intentional life. He is the Light that brightens our nights of hopelessness. Jesus is our Way and the Truth. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning. Lamentations 3:23. Next time we flip a switch for the light, we remember Jesus, Who floods our hearts with His Light and Hope.
Light is sweet; how pleasant to see a new day dawning. Ecclesiastes 11:7
