March 14, 2019 – James 1:5-6
If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and He will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. But when you ask Him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. James 1:5-6.
As soon as my hair turned grey, people expected me to have wisdom. It is not until I turn to God and choose to have faith only in Him, I begin to understand wisdom.
God supplies wisdom to live life well and make good decisions, when we depend absolutely on God. It is when we try to live on our own, troubles appear.
It isn’t ‘Good Luck’ in life that makes living good. It’s blessings coming from trusting God only and completely. In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, O Lord, will keep me safe. Psalm 4:8. These words come to us from our Father God.
And Jesus tells us, You haven’t done this before. Ask, using my name, and you will receive, and you will have abundant joy. John 16:24. “I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.” John 14:27.
Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice! Philippians 4:4
So don’t be misled, my dear brothers and sisters. Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow. He chose to give birth to us by giving us His true Word. And we, out of all creation, became His prized possession. James 1:16-18.
