March 14, 2018 – Psalm 56:4-5
What joy for those You choose to bring near, those who live in your holy courts. What festivities await us inside your holy Temple.You faithfully answer our prayers with awesome deeds, O God our Savior. You are the hope of everyone on earth, even those who sail on distant seas. Psalm 56:4-5.
How much time is spent searching for Joy? How many miles do we travel in search for a new experience, a new word, a new feeling, or new delights to celebrate? Yet we find all these new things as close as God’s Word. Read the last sentence of the scripture – YOU are the hope of everyone on earth, even those who sail on distant seas… Our Lord God is our Hope. He is our Savior. Living in Him brings us joy when we choose His Way.
I will be filled with joy because of you. I will sing praises to your name, O Most High. Psalm 9:2. What brings us joy? The Joy of a deeper ‘happy’ than in stories ending in ‘happily ever after’.
You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever. Psalm 16:11.
The Lord is my strength and shield. I trust him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving. Psalm 28:7. Come, let us sing to the Lord!
Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Psalm 95:1.
You formed the mountains by your power and armed yourself with mighty strength. Psalm 56:6.
