Love, Life, and Light!

Have you ever considered God’s creation at
the beginning of time?  Each time I consider the questions our Father God
asked Job, I am in awe of His power and wisdom.
Where were you when I laid the
foundations of the earth? Tell me, if you know so much. What supports its
foundations, and who laid its cornerstone as the morning
stars sang together and all the angels shouted for joy?
” Job 38: 4,
6-7. The forty-one verses of this chapter tell of a little of the mind of God
as He created the world in which we live. Scientists spend lifetimes studying
the intricate mysteries God spoke into existence.

How did Job answer God’s questions about His creation?  “I am
nothing—how could I ever find the answers?  I will cover my mouth with my
hand.  I have said too much already. I have nothing
more to say.
”  Job 40:4-5.

Why did God go to such lengths to create the wonders we often take for granted
on earth? He then created man in his own image.  There can be no other
answer than this, God is Love
Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God.
Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God.  But
anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love
.  I John 4:7-8.

What is this thing called Love? Caring for someone else more than ourselves. It
is the second commandment Jesus gave us, A second is equally important:
‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
Matthew 22:39. Another scripture
that tells what true Love means:  John 15:12-14: This is my
commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you.  There
is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. You are
my friends if you do what I command.

God
gave us life because of His great love. God showed how much He loved us by
sending His one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal
life through Him.  This is real love—not that we
loved God, but that he loved us and sent His Son as a sacrifice to take away
our sins.
I John 4:9-10.

Psalm 139 contains several verses that declare His great love for us. He watched
me as I was being formed in utter seclusion as I was woven together in the dark
of womb
(v. 15).  Then again in verses 17 and 18. “How precious are
your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered!  I can’t even
count them; they outnumber the grains of sand!  And when I wake up, You
are still with me!
”

The
Ten Commandments, given to the children Israel, are sometimes
referred to as guard rails, safeguarding our journey through life. One commandment
reads, “You shall not murder.”

No man may kill another being our Father God has created. God gives life
because of His great love.  How do we love? This is my commandment:
Love each other in the same way I have loved you.  There is no greater
love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
  John 15:12-13.

The Presence of God doesn’t end after birth. It continues forever. You will
show me the way of life, granting me the joy of Your presence and the
pleasures of living with You forever.
Psalm 16:11.

And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of
those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. For
God knew his people in advance, and He chose them to become like his Son so
that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.  And
having chosen them, He called them to come to Him. And having called them, He
gave them right standing with Himself. And having given them right standing, He
gave them his glory.
  Romans 8:28-29.

When we walk into a dark room, we want to see where we are walking.  Or,
perhaps we are searching for something.  And we need light.  We need
understanding.  Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to
us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He
never changes or casts a shifting shadow.  He chose
to give birth to us by giving us his true word. And we, out of all creation,
became His prized possession.
James 1:17-18.

Jesus, Son of God, came to earth and declared, Jesus spoke to the people
once more and said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you
won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to
life.”
Romans 8:12.

Light
swallows the darkness just as purity is victorious over evil. Just as the light
of the sun God created helps things to grow on earth, we grow in Faith. The
Light of Jesus and His great Love leads to the growth of Trust and Living Faith
in the Name of Jesus.  We link these three words in a circle of glory.
Love—Life—and Light.

He counts the stars and calls them all by name.  How
great is our Lord!  His power is absolute! His understanding is beyond
comprehension!
  Psalm 147:4-5.
