June 24, 2020 – Colossians 3:15-17
And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. Colossians 3:15-17.
The illusive mystery of peace begins with Jesus Christ. “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let them be afraid.” John 14:27.
Peace is not an understanding between nations or men, it emanates solely from the power of love from the One who revealed greater love by giving His Life for us on the cross. Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13.
The close relationship of the Fruit of the Spirit between Love, Joy, and Peace comes first from Loving One Another. This Christ-Love brings Joy, which brings Peace to the Soul and makes us One.
I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart! Psalm 9:1a.
Dear Father in Heaven. Help me to know your Presence through your Word and be filled the joy of love and peace that comes only from You. Teach me to serve You, O Lord with thanksgiving. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
I will sing to the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have being. Psalm 104:33.
Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ. Colossians 3:23-24.
