June 17, 2020 – Ephesians 1:3-6
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, even as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before Him. In love He predestined us for adoption to Himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of His will, to the praise of His glorious grace, with which He has blessed us in the Beloved. Ephesians 1:3-6.
From the beginning, God loved us. As He created the earth where we live, He chose us. He has a purpose. It includes us, for He loves us! His purpose is to adopt us as His sons through Jesus. We cannot undo what God has purposed. We don’t have the power. We are not God.
It is through Jesus we have the spiritual blessings of the Heavenly Places. Jesus is the Son of God. He is our Way. Through Him we have unity. We are one in the Father, one in the Spirit, and one in the Lord. What begins this one-ness? God’s Love. God loves us so much, He sent us His Son. Jesus loves us so much, He died on the cross. Because of this great Love, we learn to love one another by seeing the heart. The blessings of heaven are ours when we truly learn to love.
Help us, Lord, to love You and those You have created…In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace, which He lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight making known to us the mystery of His will, according to His purpose, which He set forth in Christ as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in Him, things in heaven and things on earth. Ephesians 1:7-10.
