June 16, 2020 – Psalm 42:7-8

Deep calls to deep at the roar of your waterfalls; all your breakers and your waves have gone over me. By day the Lord commands His steadfast love, and at night His song is with me, a prayer to the God of my life. Psalm 42:7-8.

I have need of daily assurance from You, as your waves threaten to carry me away in the darkness of the night.  Yet during the day God’s promises of love pour over me and become my thanksgiving prayer to God.

There is Hope in God, for He is our salvation. Enlighten the eyes of our hearts, that we know the hope He calls us to.  Help us to love all who live for Jesus Christ as He loves. The glory that You have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one.  John 17:22.

Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me.  I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. John 15:4-5.

Dear Father in Heaven, I pray for the Spirit of wisdom and the knowledge of Him will grow ever deeper.  We would know know the riches of His glorious inheritance for those who believe in Him. Help us to believe and be one with Jesus as He is one in the Lord God.  This is our prayer this day. In the Name of Jesus, I pray, Amen.

Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise Him, my salvation and my God. Psalm 42:11.
