June 15, 2020 – Psalm 40:4-5

Blessed is the man who makes the Lord his trust, who does not turn to the proud, to those who go astray after a lie! You have multiplied, O Lord my God, your wondrous deeds and your thoughts toward us; none can compare with You! I will proclaim and tell of them, yet they are more than can be told. Psalm 40:4-5.

“Trust and Obey, for there’s no other way, To be happy in Jesus…”  I often wondered as a young girl just what it is to trust in Jesus. As the years multiply along with troubles, I revel in the love of Jesus .  

What the world offers, never satisfies.  Only the surety of God’s love, given through His Son Jesus, brings salvation.  He is my deliverer.

“Great is the Lord!” is my song as long as He gives me breath.  He writes my song of help and delivery from the earthly hurts.  I rejoice, and look to Him for sustenance in this life.

Dear Father in Heaven, the Giver of Life, I praise you for the breath with which I sing, ‘Great is the Lord!’ You put the stars in place as a marker of greater things to come. Help me to always recognize and choose Your Way of Righteousness each day and each moment.  I love you, Lord, and lift my voice to worship you!  In the Name of Jesus, I love You, Lord!

Lord, You are great and worthy of the highest praise! For there is no end to the discovery of the greatness that surrounds You. Psalm 145:3.

But may all who seek You rejoice and be glad in You; may those who love your salvation say continually, “Great is the Lord!” As for me, I am poor and needy, but the Lord takes thought for me. You are my help and my deliverer; do not delay, O my God! Psalm 40:16-17.
