June 12, 2019 – Psalm 37:5-7

Commit your way to the Lord, trust in Him, and He will act. He will bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday. Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in His way, over the man who carries out evil devices! Psalm 37:5-7.

Before we can commit everything we do to the Lord, we believe Who He is. We trust Him completely in our daily lives with its ups and downs.

How often I have considered the the depth of faith of Abraham, to leave all he knows, to go on a trip to an unknown destination.  And be promised many children at a ‘late in life‘ age.

Plagued with the need to fix everything, from people to things, it becomes difficult to wait on the Lord. Even as the sunshine lightens our days, even so the righteousness in life brings a brilliant exuberance and joy to our days.

Living each day in the Lord’s Way, waiting expectantly for guidance, we have the assurance that God Himself holds our hand, lest we stumble.

Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4.

Who is a God like You, pardoning iniquity and passing over transgression for the remnant of His inheritance? He does not retain His anger forever, because He delights in steadfast love.  Micah 7:18.

How can I say thanks / For the things You have done for me? Things so undeserved / Yet You gave to prove Your love for me.  To God Be the Glory!  (Andrae Crouch)

The steps of a man are established by the Lord when he delights in His way; though he falls, he shall not be cast headlong, for the Lord upholds his hand. Psalm 36:23-24.
