June 12, 2015 – Psalm 17:7-8
Show me your unfailing love in wonderful ways. By your mighty power you rescue those who seek refuge from their enemies. Guard me as you would guard your own eyes. Hide me in the shadow of your wings. Psalm 17:7-8When diseases threaten, wars roll across the globe, when famine strikes and our children’s lives are threatened, we want to hide. We search for a hiding place, a place where we can escape the dangers of living. We search high and low, and finally find the only place to hide — under the shadow of his wings. For God will guard us and rescue us from danger. He will hide us under the shadow of his wings. When our troubles mount to the sky, look for the shadow of his wings. There is joy-song under the shadow of his wings, a place so secure and his right hand holds me securely. I lie awake at night meditating on his love. I cling ever more tightly to Him, for I know the depths of your grace and the height of his love. That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perishes, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honor and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls. I Peter 1:7-9 (KJV)I lie awake thinking of you, meditating on you through the night. Because you are my helper, I sing for joy in the shadow of your wings. I cling to you; your strong right hand holds me securely. Psalm 63:6-8
