June 1, 2015 – Psalm 4:7-8
You have given me greater joy than those who have abundant harvests of grain and new wine. In peace I lie down and sleep, for you alone, O Lord, will keep me safe. Psalm 4:7-8Do you know the Joy of Jesus? It is made up love, peace, hope and tied with a ribbon of trust. It is that which speaks to marrow of our souls where God placed eternity. It guides, it leads, and teaches us of His sacrifice. His peace fills and satisfies more than physical sustenance from great harvests.Fear in the night paralyzes our very spirit. We are rendered helpless, weak in our own bodies. What can harm us? Death? Jesus Christ conquered death when was raised from his death on the cross. God gave us life and breath. He knows the number of hairs on our heads. God is faithful and steadfast not for one generation, but for 10,000 years plus forever.God’s shield is around me and you. He watches over me and you. The Lord’s might abhors evil. Evil can not stand in His presence. The Lord gives us restoration and rest from the rigors of living in this sin-filled world. Fear flees in the presence of God’s Love. But you, O Lord, are a shield around me; you are my glory, the one who holds my head high. I cried out to the Lord, and he answered me from his holy mountain. I lay down and slept, yet I woke up in safety, for the Lord was watching over me. Psalm 3:3-5
