July 6, 2020 – Psalm 36:5-6

Your steadfast love, O Lord, extends to the heavens, your faithfulness to the clouds. Your righteousness is like the mountains of God; your judgments are like the great deep; man and beast you save, O Lord. Psalm 36:5-6.

How could we even begin to understand Your ‘forever love’ without the creation of ‘the heavens and the earth?  “So that Christ may dwell in Your hearts through faith—that You, being rooted and grounded in love,  may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.” Ephesians 3:14-19.

Why do we exult and relish the lights in the night sky?  Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.  John 8:12. We search for light and hope in this world of darkness and chaos. In You, oh, Lord Jesus, is life and light.

Dear Lord in Heaven, Help me to know your precious love. Give me the daily bread of your delight in righteousness,  life, and light that I might share your love.  Great are You, Oh Lord!  In the Name of Jesus, I pray, Amen and Amen.

Amazing Grace, How sweet the sound, That saved a wretch; like me! I once was lost but now am found, Was blind, but now I see.

How precious is your steadfast love, O God! The children of mankind take refuge in the shadow of Your wings. They feast on the abundance of Your house, and You give them drink from the river of your delights.  For with You is the fountain of life; in Your light do we see light. Psalm 36:7-9.
