July 5, 2018 – Jeremiah 29:11-12
“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen.” Jeremiah 29:11-12.
When my eyes open in the morning light, what is the first thing I think? “What will I do today?” As we grow older, the question changes to “What do I have to do today?”
God has plans for us! Even before He made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what He wanted to do, and it gave Him great pleasure. Ephesians 1:4-5.
God has no ‘Plan B’. He doesn’t need another plan. His ways are perfect. How can we know we are living God’s Way? Since God chose you to be the holy people He loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. Colossians 3:12-13.
Is there a time limit for God’s Grace to be effective. Is there an expiration date? With every breath, we take in our lifetime, we learn more deeply, to love one another. The first commandment is to love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind and soul. Of what can we be sure? And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns. Philippians 1:6.
And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Romans 8:38a.
“If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.” Jeremiah 29:13.
