Psalm-30-11-12You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing. You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy, that I might sing praises to you and not be silent.O Lord my God, I will give you thanks forever! Psalm 30:11-12

I think my Mom (Grandma Daisy) felt this kind of joy. I remember hearing her feet hit the floor and walk quickly down the bare-floor hallway.  I know it was time ‘to rise and shine’.  This joyful feeling comes with expectant living…waiting for the surprise God has in store for you this day.
And now at 85, I rise slowly, waiting for the twinging reminders of age and yet, my spirit still knows this joy.  I hunger and thirst, not for food but for God’s Word that reminds me of the blessings to come, His salvation is mine.  And I know that King David, long ago, felt this same joy.
Sing to the Lord, all you godly ones! Praise his holy name.
For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime!
Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning. Psalm 30:4-5
